Vivo Coffee

VIVO Coffee

VIVO's high grade beans have been blended and roasted with love by the experts at Merlo Coffee. VIVO is based in Brisbane and delivers daily throughout Australia. VIVO blends have won CSR Sugar Golden Bean Awards in 2009 and 2010.

VIVO Venezia

This sweet, full-bodied blend owes its toffee tones to the careful blending of 100% Arabica beans sourced from Indonesia, Kenya, Brazil, Columbia and Nicaragua. VIVO Venezia is suitable for many of the more traditional styles of coffees.

VIVO Verona

Drawing from all corners of the coffee growing world, this blend combines the strength of Oceania coffees with the typically soft African coffee finish, but is enhanced with traditional beans sourced from Colombia and Brazil. This coffee offers distinct caramel notes awith an underlying nutty earthiness.

Rainforest Alliance

All beans used in this blend are 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified Beans sourced from premium suppliers around the world. It is full bodied with plum flavours and fruity notes.

Decaf

All beans used in  this blend are 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified, Mexican organic beans. This blend has been naturally decaffeinated by the chemical-free water method.

Organic

This is a medium to full bodied blend with strong, earthy flavours and a sweet finish. This blend's green beans are certified organic by the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA).

VIVO coffee pods owe their flavour to a special blend specifically designed to be used in domestic espresso and pod specific machines. Coffee pods are ideal for those environments where you don't want any mess from grinding the coffee.

Single 7gm

Perfect for most domestic espresso machines with a pod basket

Single 10gm

Suitable for commercial coffee machines

Decaf - one of the freshest decaf coffees without having to grind the beans

Double 14gm

For pod specific machines

  • Use filtered water to prevent build-up inside your coffee maker and to avoid flavour impurities

  • Coffee stays hotter for longer in warm cups - rinse cups in hot water before pouring

  • Only grind what you need for immediate brewing

For Plungers

  • Allow one heaped dessert spoon of VIVO coffee per 230ml cup and one cup of water per serve
  • Water should be off the boil for a few seconds to prevent burning the coffee
  • Pour water in and stir gently
  • Stir, plunge and drink straight away

For Dripolators

  • Allow one heaped dessert spoon of VIVO coffee per 230ml cup and one cup of water per serve
  • Filter coffee is at its best when freshly brewed
  • Coffee will begin to deteriorate in flavour and become bitter if left on heat

Stovetop

  • Use cold water in the base and fill to the safety valve
  • Fill the basket with VIVO coffee
  • Place on a low to medium heat
  • Remove from heat as soon as you hear a splattering sound

Espresso Machine

  • Use filtered water
  • Clean the handle to remove any residual grind
  • Fill the basket to the correct level
  • Flush the head before each extraction
  • Extract no more than 30mls of coffee

Storage

Moisture, heat and light are the enemies of fresh coffee. In Australia, the best place to keep your VIVO coffee beans is in a frost-free freezer or refridgerator.
